Toddler Food -- Scissor Noodle

I made this Scissor noodle for Arjun when I made Pan Mee/Mee Hun Kueh, this noodle is made using scissor, much easier to shape than pan mee, and it is just nice in size for a toddler to scoop or handle.

He loves this meal so much that he keep pointing to the noodle when I fed him!

Ingredients:( For 1)

Dough:
1 cup all purpose flour
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 cup water

For minced meat:
A little bit of minced meat (pork or chicken)
a pinch of pepper powder
1-2 drops of sesame oil
1/2 tsp Chinese cooking wine
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 tsp Tapioca/corn starch

others:
50 gm green vegetables
A little bit of Shallot oil & Fried Shallots
2 fish balls
1 cup of chicken/pork bone stock

1. Knead together flour, salt and water to form a stiff dough, let it sit aside covered for 15 minutes.

2. Marinates the minced meat for 10 minutes with all ingredients listed.

3. Bring the broth/stock to boil and dropping minced meat using teaspoon a little by little to cook.

4. Using another pot, bring half pot of water to boil, holding the dough with one hand and scissor at another hand, cut the dough into a small strips and drop it into the boiling water to cook. When the noodles start floating on the water, it is cooked. Scooped it out and place in a bowl.

5. Season stock with a little salt if it is not salted, add chopped vegetable, cooked for a minute or two before adding the broth to bowl, garnish with a little shallot oil and fried shallots.
